Saturday 18th June
On Saturday Martin had three students for Improvers Bowl Turning Course. This course is designed for turners who already have experience in bowl turning but wish to progress their skills and take it to a perfection level. Martin guided his students through the bowl turning, explaining bevel angles on tools, chucks and mounting options and proportions of a bowl for the excellent result and satisfaction of a student.
Friday 24th June
Martin had three students for a Woodturning Experience Day. Students were learning the basics of spindle turning whilst making a simple bud vase followed by turning a bowl, all under Martins’ instructions.

Martin’s Product of the Week: Les Thorne Tool Set
Les’ Signature range of tools are very popular indeed! His spindle gouges have short bevel as they are manufactured differently to standard ones, and his multi-purpose tools are simply brilliant.
As with everything though, prices are rising and these will be going up soon, too! Grab the full set for £96.00 (plus shipping) before the prices go up!
