Description

Thinner, more penetrating than other Danish Oils, our product contains only pure Tung Oil, a low odour biodegradable solvent and no artificial varnish, resins or other vegetable oils.

Our Danish Finishing Oil will make the figure in your wood ‘pop’ with just one coat, and make applied colour almost glow. It can be brought to a gloss finish like other oils after many coats and buffing.

~ Basic Application

1. Sand your work down to your desired grit.
   We recommend 400 grit.
2. Apply the oil using a paper towel or rag;
3. After a few minutes, remove excess oil from
   the surface of the piece;
4. Allow 20 minutes between coats and apply a
   maximum of 2 before allowing to cure;
5. Leave to cure thoroughly for at least 24-48
   hours before buffing and putting into use.
   Curing time will vary depending on ambient
   temperature and humidity;
6. Recoat as required.
7. For best results, use within 6 months of
   purchase.

~ Uses

Use on items such as fruit and salad bowls or items requiring a more satin finish. It can however, be buffed to a gloss after many coats.

~ Colour and Aroma

Translucent pale brown in the tin. Slightly darkens the wood when it is applied. Characteristic aroma of solvents and waxes.

~ Container

Supplied in a 500ml ‘berg top’ tin bottle.

~ Storage

Store in a cool, dry place ideally between 10° and 30°C (50° and 90°F) Where possible. Protect from extreme heat and from freezing. Keep out of direct sunlight.

~ Longevity – Use By

Kept according to instructions, after opening the product, it is best used within six months. Due to the curing nature of the product, it will thicken over time.

~ Food Contact and Toy Safe?

Yes. Tested to EN71-3

Do not pile-up saturated rags.
