The colour was appled using small pieces of bubblewrap to dab onto the surface. I used the Autumn Glory palette. After the colour I appled 2 coats of Danish Oil, and once dry 10 coats of Gloss Acrylic Lacquer.
The lacquer was flattened every 3 or 4 coats by wet sanding with 600 grit abrasive. The final coat was wet sanded to 5000 grit and then polished using Yorkshire Grit (both grades). The inside of the bowl was finished with Hampshire Sheen gloss wax.

This my first attempt at a project I have had in mind for some time. It involved a blowtorch, Yorkshire Grit, Intrinsic colours, Hampshire Sheen gloss wax and gold embellishing wax . I’m very pleased with the result.

Amazing colours, will definitely be buying bigger bottles of each colour. It’s also surprising how far the sample bottles go

I do not do enough turning & colouring to warrant buying the whole set so a sample set seemed more suitable for my needs and I was not disappointed. Easy to use and to get interesting affects.
